About

Lautaro Mitelman

I’m a software engineer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’ve spent the last eight years building backend systems at scale.

Today I'm at Strike, building an AI-led offensive security platform that combines AI agents with elite security researchers to run continuous attack simulations. We recently raised $13.5M in Series A.

Before Strike, I was at Pomelo, where I helped design the initial technical architecture. That foundation scaled to 50M+ transactions daily and supported the company through a $35M Series A and a $40M Series B. Our card platform powered fintechs across Latin America to issue credit, debit, and prepaid cards and process payments at scale.

Before Pomelo, I was at Naranja X, Argentina's largest credit card issuer, building backend systems that served millions of users through their mobile app and powered operations across 170 physical branches.

I work primarily with Kotlin, Go, and TypeScript, designing microservices and event-driven architectures where downtime isn't an option.

Outside of work, I'm training for half-marathons, lifting at the gym, and reading about science, health, and finance. This blog is where I think through all of it: systems, startups, and everything in between. I also write about philosophy and lifestyle on Medium.
